Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach using the "contact us" button if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We can assist you in selecting the right course for you.  Generally speaking (although we ask that you check with your employer or school to ensure that you are selecting the course that will meet their requirements), BLS for the Healthcare provider is for nursing staff, doctors, dental staff, hospital or nursing home staff, or medical office staff.  HeartSaver CPR/AED/First Aid is appropriate for caregivers and babysitters unless otherwise specified by your school or employer.  Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support are for advanced nursing and medical personnel, and the Accident Scene Management class is for anyone!  Contact us if you need help choosing a class!

In most cases, the link to claim your certification card for an American Heart Association course will appear in your email right after the class is completed.  However, if you do not see your card, you can go to https://ecards.heart.org/student/myecards to retrieve it.  The American Heart Association does not provide paper cards.  However, once you claim your eCard, you can download, print, or email it.

For American Heart Association courses, textbooks are required.  For ACLS and PALS, a mandatory pretest must be taken prior to class, and the instructions are in the textbook.  In order to purchase textbooks or the online portion of HeartCode courses, please visit shopcpr.heart.org and filter your search by which class you are taking.

For American Heart Association courses, you have the option of taking classes completely in-person or taking the instructional portion online and then demonstrating your skills in front of an instructor in a classroom setting.  The online portion can be purchased separately through shopcpr.heart.org.

For Accident Scene Management, R2R is currently only conducting in-person sessions of this class.  We feel that this class is better experienced in person and skills are more efficiently practiced with other participants!

American Heart Association is the so-called Gold Standard of CPR!  They do the research and footwork in educating the world on how to avoid heart disease and stroke, but if it happens, what to do.  They concern themselves with creating the best training programs and getting those training programs to as many people around the world as possible in an effort to halt the toll of cardiovascular disease.  Many hospitals and schools will not accept CPR certification if it did not come from the American Heart Association.

Historically, R2R has traveled to Idaho, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas.  We like travel and we're really good at meeting challenges with, say, audiovisual equipment shortages (have setup, will travel!).  We ask that you provide us with the class type, number of committed students, and location of the class and we will develop a reasonable and competitive quote to provide classes for your group!  And of course, we can accommodate a group in our classroom in Tucson as well!

Yes we do!  Please visit the following link to book an appointment for a different time: https://www.schedulicity.com/scheduling/RTTX4M/services

Appointment bookings are subject to our refund and cancellation policy.

Not at all.  We get this all the time.  R2R's owners are motorcycle riders, but ANYONE can take our courses!  The more people who are trained to save a life, the better!

We also offer consultation services for helping your facility set up emergency drills and provide training to meet regulatory requirements!  With years of QA and resulting experience with regulatory agencies, we can help you become the team that knows what they're doing!  Contact us to find out how we can help you build confident teams that know what to do in an emergency!

Stay tuned, as we are also planning to offer OSHA courses in the fall!
